The International Institute for Astronautical Sciences is a non-profit, licensed, and independently controlled and supported research and education institute. Headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, the IIAS serves an international student body through courses that combine distance education methods with on-site intensives at one of IIAS’s three campus satellite locations or field sites

Committed to being the global standard of astronautical science, the IIAS maintains four research centers, three satellite campuses, four professional certificate programs, and unique research facilities that drive student innovation and provide immersive educational opportunities. As of 2025, IIAS offers a degree in Astronautical Sciences as well as professional certificates in bioastronautics, space environment, flight test engineering, and space flight operations.
